Employee Spotlight: Robert Klein

Architectural Staff Level 1 | GGA Studios
At GGA Studios, our strength lies in the diversity of our team’s skills, passions, and dedication. This month, we’re proud to spotlight Robert Klein, a vital part of our architectural team who brings a sharp eye for detail, a passion for project management, and—let’s be honest—a love for burritos that rivals his love for architecture.
Robert joined GGA Studios in October 2022 after graduating from Farmingdale State College. With a background rooted in a lifelong passion for drawing and building, he found architecture to be the perfect marriage of creativity and structure—and he hasn’t looked back since.
Making Safety Plans Work—Every Step of the Way
Day-to-day, Robert plays a key role in preparing Tenant Protection Plans (TPPs) and Occupant Protection Plans (OPPs), which are often complex and ever-evolving due to phased Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO) approvals and on-site changes. Whether it’s revising construction zones or updating site safety measures at the ground level, Robert ensures the plans reflect the latest project conditions and meet compliance requirements.
When he’s not immersed in TPPs or OPPs, Robert shifts gears to tackle Fire Protection Plans (FPPs) and Fire Safety Plans (FSPs). These responsibilities allow him to dig deep into building systems—fire alarms, sprinklers, standpipes, mechanical layouts—to ensure accuracy in every submission. His work bridges the gap between technical compliance and practical implementation, providing vital support to the safety of New York’s built environment.

The Joy of Juggling Projects
One of the things Robert enjoys most about his role is the opportunity to manage multiple projects and support the broader GGA team. “It’s incredibly fulfilling to bring a project from start to finish,” Robert says. “I love helping our project managers stay organized and moving things forward.”
Recently, Robert has taken on more concurrent projects than ever before. While many would see this as a challenge, he sees it as an opportunity—to grow, to learn, and to elevate his skill set by tackling different types of work and collaborating closely with senior staff.
The Architect with a Side of Salsa
Outside the drafting table, Robert has a not-so-secret passion: burritos. “The only thing I love more than architecture is a good burrito,” he jokes—and we fully support that kind of balance.
We’re proud to have Robert as part of the GGA Studios family, and we’re excited to see his continued growth and impact on our projects, clients, and culture.
