2026 Summer Intern Spotlight: Meet Niema Augustine

​Each summer, we're proud to help shape the next generation of architects by providing students with opportunities to gain real-world experience alongside our team. This year, we're excited to welcome Niema Augustine, who has joined us to learn more about the day-to-day work that goes into bringing projects from concept to reality!

​Meet Niema

Hometown: Valley Stream, NY

School: New York Institute of Technology

Major: Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch)

Expected Graduation: 2028

Why Architecture?

For Niema, architecture has been a natural fit from an early age.

"As a kid, I loved building with Legos, cardboard, and other materials. I was always making dollhouses and creating different spaces for my toys. Now, being able to create spaces for real people gives me that same sense of purpose."

That passion for hands-on creativity ultimately led her to pursue a degree in architecture, where she continues to build on the interests that first inspired her.

Why GGA Studios?

Niema was drawn to GGA Studios because she wanted to experience what working at an architectural firm is really like.

"I was interested in the practical side of the profession. As a younger intern, you don't usually jump straight into designing buildings, so I wanted to learn what architects actually do every day and gain experience with the real work behind a project."

Throughout the summer, she'll have the opportunity to develop practical skills while working alongside experienced professionals on active projects.

Looking Ahead

As she continues her architectural education, Niema hopes this internship will serve as a stepping stone toward future opportunities.

"I hope this experience opens the door to future internships where I can use the skills I learn here and continue expanding my knowledge."

We're excited to be part of that journey and look forward to seeing everything she accomplishes.

Fun Fact

Outside of architecture, Niema has a musical background; she played the French horn for six years!
